Away with them!

Have you ever thought what a pleasure it would be to see the back of a bunch of noisy singers - and send them packing overseas?

You can do just that on Saturday October 7th at Salisbury Arts Centre (old St. Edmund's Church) when the Salisbury Community Choir will disturb the peace and quiet between 1000 and 1600 to raise funds for their forthcoming overseas tour to Germany.

Musical Director and local music teacher Fiona Clarke has sung on musical tours with Salisbury MP Robert Key when they were both chorus members of The Academy of Saint Martins. Now she has enlisted his help to send them into exile!

Robert Key said, "Please come along and listen to this rag-bag of talented singers - this is a unique opportunity to ensure a few days peace and quiet in Salisbury.

Fiona Clarke has directed the choir for two years. "All you need is a love of singing and loads of enthusiasm. Over 30 people will be singing their hearts out and our overseas tour will really give the choir a boost. Please sponsor us per song, per note or even per throat lozenge! Every penny counts."

Notes to Editors: Robert Key will be at the Arts Centre at 1930 on Thursday 28 September. He will be singing with the choir. You are welcome to attend.
