Robert Key MP meets Action for Blind People

You are invited to join Robert Key MP at Action for Blind People at 10:00 on Friday 27th February. Come along to Shelwork Industries on the Dolphin Estate in Salisbury and meet staff and users.

Action for Blind People, the organisation behind the Disability Employment Outreach (DEO) project has secured a new contract offering support, advice and guidance for young people, specifically 15 – 24 year olds. The Supported Employment Service for Younger People will cover the whole of Wiltshire and works in much the same way as the DEO project. During his visit, Robert will be given an insight into the services and opportunities available to users of both projects by Employment Advisor, Andy Lewis.

Action for Blind People works with blind and partially sighted people to transform their lives through work, housing, leisure and support. Shelwork Industries, where the Employment Development Co-ordinators are based is a factory owned by Action for Blind People that employs people with a range of disabilities, including people who are blind and partially sighted. Shelwork Industries produces engineering components, wood products and provides an assembly/packing service.
