Advance notice – embargoed until 0100 on Monday 8 December

A dog is for life…

Robert Key says people thinking of taking on the responsibility of dog ownership this Christmas should plan for a fifteen-year relationship. He and his family are the proud owners of a 15-year-old Springer Spaniel called Tigger.

Robert said,”Tigger changed from a puppy to a bouncy dog in a matter of months. Now she is a graceful, opinionated, rather stubborn old member of the family and she needs lots of tender loving care. The trust she has shown in the family over the years and the fun she has given us all is being repaid with respect and affection”.

You are invited to join Robert Key at Dogs Trust (formerly the National Canine Defence League) at their Re-homing Centre at Newton Tony on the A338 10 miles NE of Salisbury, 2 miles from the junction with the A303, at 1030 on Monday 8th December. The Manager, Alison Rodger, will explain the work of the Centre and introduce you to her canine guests.

Dogs Trust Salisbury Re-homing Centre is at 45 Amesbury Road, Newton Tony, Salisbury SP4 0HW (Tel. 01980 629634).
