Acting Inspector Williams
Traffic Manager
Wiltshire Constabulary
Divisional Headquarters
Wilton Road
Salisbury
SP2 7HR

Shaftesbury Road, Wilton

At the end of November I visited residents in Shaftesbury Road, Wilton and I subsequently wrote (on 30th November) to Chief Superintendent Jeremy Wickham. I enclose a copy of his letter.

I forwarded the letter to ************* on behalf of local residents of Shaftesbury Road - and he has now sent me the enclosed reply.

In the middle of the second page he explains why he believes that the police fail to realise the true situation about road speed in Shaftesbury Road. He says that local residents would welcome a visit from you at any time.

At the end of his letter to me dated 13th December 2004, Chief Superintendent Wickham suggests that I might contact either himself or you as Traffic Manager. The latter seems a very good suggestion.

I would therefore be very grateful if you would consider meeting ************* and other local residents to discuss this matter.
