603 To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether it is his policy that car parking should be restricted at provincial railway stations in order to discourage longdistance commuting. [191759]

 

Mr McNuIty

The provision and management of car parking facilities is at the discretion of the train operating companies. Train operators will provide car parking where they consider it appropriate, to do so.
